Fútbol de Primera announced its extensive 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa coverage plans for the tournament final this summer. FDP Radio’s world renowned on air personalities will be on site in South Africa as part of their third consecutive World Cup Spanish language broadcast. As of today, a total of 106 affiliated radio stations (41 of them music driven FM signals), a World Cup record, will broadcast exclusive live in game play by play coverage along with pre, half and post game analysis from the multiple stadiums across South Africa. FDP Radio will also be providing exclusive post match player interviews from the pitch as part of their broadcasts.

Fútbol de Primera has amassed an impressive talent roster of World Cup legends as its “Mundialistas” featuring some of the most respected and decorated names in soccer from the U.S., Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and El Salvador.

Los Mundialistas roster:

– Andrés Cantor – Mr. “Gooool” will have the main play-by-play duties during his eighth World Cup.
– Sammy Sadovnik – tenth year with FDP and will cover his fifth World Cup.
– Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama – player and captain of Colombia for three World Cups and his second with FDP.
– Carlos Hermosillo – one of México’s leading scorers with two WORLD CUPs under his belt and his third in FDP’s booth.
– Bora Milutinovic – only man in history to have coached five nations; México, Costa Rica, US, Honduras, Nigeria, and China in five different World Cups.
– Francisco “Paco” Ramírez – one WORLD CUP as assistant coach, worked alongside the last three Mexican National Team coaches and most recently as Chivas de Guadalajara Head Coach.
– Eduardo “Yayo” De la Torre – Chivas de Guadalajara’s third historic goal scorer and now a coach.
– Marcelo Balboa – Defended the US colors in three World Cups and played a total of 128 international games.
– Jaime “Chelona” Rodríguez – third WORLD CUP as FDP’s color commentator played for El Salvador in their last WORLD CUP appearance, was assistant coach during the incredible run the Selecta had in WORLD CUP Qualifying and is currently the Minister of Sports of his country. This will be Jaime’s.
– Javier Castrilli returns as the referee analyst. Castrilli one of the World’s best appeared in one WORLD CUP as a ref and his work with FDP in 2006 was exceptional.
– Jorge Da Silveira, one of South Americas’ most respected journalists who will be covering his eleventh World Cup.
– Daniel Arcucci, Argentina’s leading soccer expert will return for his third World Cup with FDP Radio.
– Fútbol de Primera’s own reporters Jaime Gallardo, Carlos Aranzamendi, and Edgardo Broner whom are among the most experienced in the soccer world will also be on site in South Africa.

To complement its in game coverage, Fútbol de Primera will broadcast its two-hour daily show from its studios at the International Broadcast Center (IBC) in Johannesburg. The daily show will also be heard in México, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador, Spain, Venezuela, Uruguay and Puerto Rico via international affiliates. The digital world has coverage as well with FDP’s Mundialistas being featured in video blogs on FDP’s website, www.fdpradio.com.
