Terra builds Cape Town Studio for 2010 Soccer World Championships.

Terra will descend upon Cape Town, South Africa, to bring the 2010 soccer world championships to its 60 million users in North and South America. Coverage will be broadcast on Terra from a state-of-the-art studio located in Terra Village, an on-site hub built by the digital media company and bilingual content producer for the occasion. Terra Village will also host daily activities, including viewing parties, for advertisers and other clients.

Catering to U.S. Hispanic soccer fans, Terra will introduce an English-language program featuring highlights, recaps and interviews, in addition to its Spanish- and Portuguese-language shows. The show will be hosted by Keyvan Antonio Heydari, who has covered the last six soccer world championships for media including The New York Times, The Washington Post and NPR. Programming will take place from June 11 to June 25, 2010.

Additional coverage highlights will include:

* Regular updates from over 15 FIFA-accredited editors from the United States, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil
* Weekly video countdowns to the games, featuring interviews, recaps and predictions
* A newsletter with all the latest soccer news
* A fantasy game where fans become Coach Bob Bradley for the day to build the ultimate U.S. National Team, from the goalkeeper to the center forward
