Castrol Kicks off Mexican National Team sponsorship.

Castrol Motor Oil and Soccer United Marketing, Major League Soccer’s marketing arm, announced that Castrol GTX High Mileage will be the official motor oil of Major League Soccer, the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team and Mexican National Soccer team. The multi-year sponsorship deal brings Castrol’s international support of the world’s most popular sport home to fans in the United States, giving car enthusiasts and soccer fans extra reason to cheer for their favorite teams, now supported by their favorite motor oil.

Castrol will support both the U.S. and Mexican Men’s National teams as they prepare to compete on the world’s largest stage this summer at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. In 2008, Castrol signed a prestigious six-year deal as a FIFA World Cup Sponsor, which includes the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa, the 2014 FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil and the two FIFA Confederations Cups which fall within the 2007-2014 period.
