ESPN Deportes adds Al Día in Dallas to Juego Cruzado.

ESPN Deportes announced the addition of Dallas-based Spanish-language newspaper, Al Día, to the roster of newspapers contributing on Juego Cruzado, the network’s daily sports and commentary show modeled after ESPN’s Around the Horn.

Co-hosted by ESPN Deportes commentators Carolina Guillén, Andrés Agulla and Luis Alfredo Alvarez, Juego Cruzado features some of the most prominent sports journalists from newsrooms in the U.S. and Mexico. Regular panelists include Mario Concha, El Diario La Prensa (New York), Jorge Ebro, El Nuevo Herald (Miami), Rafa Ramos, La Opinión (Los Angeles), Rafael Ocampo, Milenio (Mexico). Carlos Nava, assistant sports editor of Al Día, the Spanish-language sister publication of The Dallas Morning News, will join as the sixth panelist.

Nava, a sports journalist with over 17 years of experience, will bring to the show a local perspective of the hottest topics being discussed in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and provide his opinion on the most controversial topics being discussed around the world. He will appear on the show three times a week, live from Al Día’s newsroom where the network incorporated a high-tech fiber optic connection ensuring that every discussion and argument is delivered in real time.

Nava has been at Al Día for more than six years. Prior to joining the Dallas paper, he was sports editor for two of the most respected newspapers in México, Frontera (Tijuana/San Diego) and Siglo 21 (Guadalajara). Besides his duties at Al Día, Nava currently serves as a radio commentator for ESPN Deportes Radio Dallas and collaborates with Cadena de Plata as an analyst of the Dallas Cowboys for TV and Radio.
