Univision.com earns 6th MRC accreditation.

Univision Interactive Media, Inc. announced that Univision.com has been accredited by the Media Rating Council (MRC) for the sixth consecutive year. Univision.com is the first Spanish-language website to be accredited by the MRC, and continues to be the longest-running MRC accredited website in any language.

“Accreditation ensures accurate, effective traffic measurements and reinforces Univision Interactive Media’s ongoing commitment to the highest standards,” said Kevin Conroy, president of Univision Interactive Media, Inc. “By expanding the scope of our MRC audit this year, we are providing marketers and advertisers with the highest possible confidence in our ad platform. This is yet another example of how we continually strive to deliver the very best services to our partners, advertisers and consumers.”

For the first time, Univision.com’s audit was expanded to include the new definition of unique cookies as outlined by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Audience Measurement Guidelines. Now in accordance with the new IAB Audience Measurement Guidelines, Univision.com’s U.S. unique cookie counts are as accurate as possible and enable the Company to be even more precise about Univision.com’s reach. This new addition demonstrates how Univision Interactive Media continues to set new standards and further establishes the Company as a leader in the industry. Moreover, the MRC accreditation demonstrates Univision.com’s continuing compliance with existing IAB Ad Impression Guidelines.

“The fact that Univision.com sought to assure its unique cookies metric is in compliance with the new IAB Audience Measurement Guidelines so soon after the adoption of those Guidelines, speaks volumes about its continuing commitment to industry leadership,” said George Ivie, executive director and CEO of the MRC. “We applaud Univision.com for being at the forefront in the area of online accountability.”
