Los Kitos Embrace the World of PRODUCE.

Los Kitos Entertainment, LLC (LKE) has entered the produce world through a partnership created with existing agri-businesses in Fresno, California by way of Los Kitos Produce, LLC (LKP), a new arm of the company.

Los Kitos slate of characters serve as ambassadors by making people smile, reflect, and relax. They also embrace the competitive nature of the produce industry, and are great communication tools to spread knowledge throughout the food chain from growers to consumers.

Martha Montoya, President/Owner of LKE and majority owner of LKP says, „It is a natural progression for our company to enter the produce industry as a way of continuing to promote the values of Los Kitos characters to the community: Healthy living for both body and soul.‰ Martha‚s background in the industry began as a teenager working in coffee farms and flower fields where she was in charge of the International Transportation Logistics. She has 20 years sales experience in the corporate and retail markets and has managed multiple commodity (produce) international trade programs focused on specialty and cross cultural grower‚s items.

Having dealt with humble growers and sophisticated buyers in Europe and the United States, Martha learned to adapt and be patient while delivering results. She has always had an appreciation for the different cultures and social issues in all of her produce dealings, be it setting up a production line for lettuce in Mexico destined for the Netherlands, or a peach crop from South Africa into England, or a new crop of asparagus in Ica or mangos in Paita, Peru for the U.S. marketplace. Martha has always understood how each country‚s growers have challenges and requirements, and helping them reach their mutual goals has marked her life and a large part of her career.

LKP is at the forefront of the gradual but constant development in our industry and we are striving for sustainability. This means the necessary change to remain competitive, both for our company and the region. Its goal is to become a leader in sustainability with a commitment to excellent product quality and attention to the environment throughout the delivery process. LKP is diligently working on materials to further educate the various levels of the supply chain.

The core of our sustainability program is to have all the parties involved in the product chain understand the goal of meeting the needs of the present without compromising the future. From the growers, to the packers and transporters, our collective team is committed to following our agenda and ensures that at each stage, individuals are made knowledgeable of the purpose and held accountable toward meeting our goals. These goals include empowering the local communities where the produce is grown.
