Telemundo launches El Poder de Saber 2010.

Telemundo announced the launch of its 2010 “El Poder De Saber” campaign (The Power of Knowing). Now in its sixth year, the campaign’s primary focus is to deliver compelling messages that inform, empower and inspire Hispanic youth to complete their secondary education and exhort their families to support them in this pursuit. “El Poder de Saber” also stresses the importance of a healthy lifestyle and protecting the environment. The new series of public service announcements debut Monday, January 25, during “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste” (M-F, 5-6 p.m. ET).

“El Poder de Saber is a powerful campaign that supports Telemundo’s mission to inform, empower, inspire and entertain US Hispanics,” said Don Browne, President, Telemundo. “At times like these it is more important than ever to ensure that young Hispanics are motivated and inspired to stay in school. We want to help by taking positive messages directly from our talent to these young Hispanics and their families so that they can fully benefit from the opportunities available to them and be prepared to help shape the future of our country.”

Featured in the 2010 “El Poder de Saber” campaign are Telemundo’s Maria Celeste Arraras, Jose Diaz-Balart, Vanessa Hauc, Carmen Villalobos, Andres Cantor, Penelope Menchaca, Natalia Villaveces, and Yazmin and Crash from mun2, Telemundo’s cable channel for youth.
