Telemundo November 2009 Sweeps.

According to Nielsen Media Research, Telemundo averaged 631,000 among Adults 18-49 in Monday through Friday prime in November.

“Mas Sabe el Diablo” delivered a larger audience, averaging 847,000 among Adults 18-49 in November and growing +16% over last month (728,000). The program’s share of the Spanish language audience increased by 3 points to 26%.

“Mas Sabe el Diablo” also delivered its best weekly performance to date among Adults 18-49, averaging 921,000 viewers in the demographic during the week of November 16. The novela is the highest-rated program in Telemundo’s lineup among Women 18-49 (429,000), and its delivery in the demographic rose +27% over October 2009.

Compared to the prior year’s delivery in the 8:00pm hour, “Mas Sabe el Diablo” has grown the timeslot in double digits across all key demographics, including Adults 18-49 (+42%), Women 18-49 (+50%), Men 18-49 (+35%), Adults 18-34 (+33%), Women 18-34 (+34%) and Men 18-34 (+32%).

“12 Corazones” averaged 522,000 among Adults 18-49, a gain of +23% over last year (426,000) and +19% over last month (438,000). November marks the program’s strongest delivery in 9 months. The show delivered a solid 207,000 viewers among Women 18-49, a +31% increase over November 2008.
“Ninos Ricos, Pobres Padres”, averaged 538,000 among Adults 18-49 in November. The novela’s delivery increased vs. last month, up +2% among Adults 18-49 and +6% among Women 18-49.
In November, “Victorinos” averaged 626K with a 22% share of Spanish among Adults 18-49.
On average, nearly 1.1 million total viewers (Persons 2+) tuned in to Telemundo primetime programming during week nights in November.
Telemundo averaged 597,000 in Adults 18-49 in Monday through Sunday prime.

To date, Telemundo is averaging 636,000 viewers among Adults 18-49 in Monday through Friday prime in the fourth quarter (4Q), up 3% compared to last year. The network’s share of the Spanish language audience is 21%.

Early Fringe (M-F 4-6p)

During Early Fringe, Telemundo, averaged 469,000 among Adults 18-49 in November 2009, up +2% or + 8,000 impressions compared with the prior year’s delivery (461K). Telemundo’s Early Fringe in 4Q 2009 to date is up +4% (464K vs. 448K) vs. the comparable period a year ago with a 30% of Spanish. Caso Cerrado and Al Rojo Vivo are pacing 515,000 and 410,000 respectively in the fourth quarter (4Q).

Futbol Liga Mexicana 2009

During its 82 regular season games in 2009, Futbol Liga Mexicana, is up +24% vs. 2008 (347K vs. 280K) among Adults 18-49. On November 5, 2009, Telemundo garnered its highest regular season Futbol Liga Mexicana telecast among Adults 18-49 with an average of 825,000 Adults 18-49 (UNAM vs. America).

Local

WSCV in Miami was the # 1 station across all stations in the market regardless of language at 2pm with the novela: “America” ; 3pm with “Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado” ;4pm with “Caso Cerrado” ; 5pm with “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste”; 6pm with Local News and at 8pm with “Mas Sabe el Diablo” and # 1 across all Spanish stations at 10pm with “Victorinos” and 11pm with Late News among Adults 18-49.
KTMD in Houston was the #2 station across all stations in the market regardless of language at 3pm with “Caso Cerrado”; 5pm with Early News; 9pm with “Victorinos” and at 10pm Late News among Adults 18-34.

WNJU in New York was # 1 across all Spanish stations at 3pm at “Lo Mejor de Caso Cerrado”; 4pm at “Caso Cerrado” and at 5pm “Al Rojo Vivo con Maria Celeste” among Adults 25-54.

Telemundo’s cable network, mun2, increased viewership in Monday through Friday prime by +13% against the prior year. November 2009 was mun2’s best November delivery in the history of the network and its seventh month of consecutive year over year growth during Monday through Friday prime. The network delivered an average of 17,000 viewers in Adults 18-34 in Monday through Friday prime compared with 15,000 over November 2008.

Digital

Telemundo’s Digital Media properties also enjoyed an increase in visitors, time spent on the sites, and video stream viewing in November.

Telemundo.com experienced a 45% increase in traffic and a 175% increase in page views since its launch in January. Users spent 74 million minutes on the site and viewed over 8.5 million video streams this month.

Holamun2, mun2’s digital property, had a 24% increase in visitors from the previous month, and an impressive 52% growth compared to last year. The unique visitors to holamun2 totaled 380,000 this month, a 30% increase from November of 2008.
