GLR exclusive Radio Broadcast: Chivas de Guadalajara’s Three Upcoming Friendly Games.

GLR Networks announced the acquisition of exclusive radio broadcast rights for the upcoming Chivas de Guadalajara US Tour matches:

• “Chivas de Guadalajara vs. America” – September 16th 2009, 8:30pm Local Time (Kansas City)

• “Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Chivas USA” – September 23rd 2009, 8:00pm Local Time (Los Angeles)

• “Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Real Salt Lake” – October 7th 2009, 7:00pm Local Time (Salt Lake City)

The Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Chivas USA match will be the first time the two teams have ever faced off in the United States.

Besides these three friendly games, Grupo Latino de Radio (GLR) also holds exclusive radio broadcast rights to Chivas de Guadalajara’s home games until 2013. This is currently the only exclusive Mexican soccer league property in the US.

According to a recent survey conducted by EL UNIVERSAL, Chivas de Guadalajara continues to be Mexican soccer fans’ favorite team. When they were asked “What is your favorite team?” Twenty eight percent picked Chivas de Guadalajara, and to the question “What is the team with the most fans in Mexico?” Forty eight percent replied Chivas de Guadalajara was their number one pick.

Highlights of the Chivas de Guadalajara soccer matches will also be provided to GLR’s affiliated stations in the syndicated Sports programs:
