NSHMBA announces new Interim CEO.

The National Association of Hispanic MBAs has named former IBM executive Steve Ramos as Interim CEO.

“Steve’s enthusiasm, credentials and proven track record of result-oriented decision making will contribute greatly to the management of this organization,” said Mark Ponce, incoming Chair of the Board. “With his wealth of experience, Steve will continue to make a great contribution to our leadership team.”

“Additionally, we thank Lourdes Hassler for her service to the organization and wish her only the very best as she continues onward with her future endeavors,” said Cosette Gutierrez, Chair of the National Board.

Prior to joining NSHMBA Ramos held the position of IBM World Wide Business Transformation and Client Satisfaction Executive. He was appointed to serve as strategic worldwide liaison for IBM support and services representing more than 50% of IBM’s field force. Responsibilities included strategy/planning/deployment of key IBM initiatives. He sees the NSHMBA appointment as a natural fit.

“I am excited to take this new role with a world-class group of business professionals here at NSHMBA,” said Steve Ramos. “It is a terrific organization with a deep commitment to its constituents. I myself have benefited in my career as a result of being a member. I am looking forward to helping the organization continue its strong record of service and leadership.”
