ABC Radio Networks en Español becomes Citadel Media en Español.

ABC Radio Networks en Español announced it has changed its name to Citadel Media en Español. The new name represents the company’s dedication to connecting audiences with advertisers across multiple platforms beyond its core radio business including mobile, out-of-home, digital and experiential marketing. It will also allow the company to capitalize on synergistic opportunities throughout the marketplace.

“As part of ABC Radio Networks, our Hispanic division has enjoyed tremendous growth as we have added significant talent to our portfolio in the past two years,” said Elisa Torres, Vice President of Programming and Operations for Citadel Media en Español. “We are strongly positioned for continued success as we provide our affiliates with compelling content designed to drive audience ratings and build revenue for their stations. Our goal as Citadel Media en Español is to remain a valuable resource to these broadcasting partners who place their trust in us.”

The brands that serve the company’s loyal audiences and blue-ribbon advertisers will all remain. Reaching 10 million listeners across 145 Spanish-language stations each week, Citadel Media en Español will continue to represent programming such as ESPN Deportes Radio as well as syndicated category leaders like María Celeste, Thalia and Maria Marín.

“We offer our advertisers one of the most efficient and effective mediums to target their brands’ customers and reach the growing population of Hispanic consumers,” said Carlos San Jose, Vice President of Sales for Citadel Media en Español. “Our focus is to continue delivering customized partnerships with a 360 approach, which is a key advantage for our clients. This allows us to extend the relationships our on-air personalities have with their audiences creating deeper brand engagement.”
