Rumbo de Houston announced that the Houston Astros Baseball Club has selected Rumbo as their exclusive print partner for communicating with the Hispanic community of Houston. The partnership includes several strategic marketing alliances including the creation and distribution of the Astros’ “Crónicas de los Astros”, a monthly newsletter about upcoming Astros activity to be published in Rumbo and available at www.rumbonet.com.
Commenting on the agreement, Bill Vincent, Publisher and General Manager of Rumbo, stated, “The Houston Astros are a major draw for Rumbo readers and we are proud to have been selected as the official Hispanic partner for this great Major League Baseball team.” The monthly insert “Crónicas de los Astros” will contain information about schedules, player profiles, promotions, special ticket packages and many other topics. “It’s great to be able to provide comprehensive information about the Astros’ roster and games, free of charge, to Houston’s Spanish-speaking public,” continued Rumbo’s Vincent.
Rosi F. Hernández, Vice President of Market Development for the Astros, added, “The Houston Astros are proud to once again partner with Rumbo for the fifth consecutive season. Rumbo has always been one of the top-rated Spanish language publications in the city, and the Astros are excited about renewing this relationship. With Rumbo’s circulation increase, the Astros anticipate reaching a larger fan base within the fast-growing Houston Hispanic market, and to once again promote that Major League Baseball is the most entertaining and most affordable stadium experience when compared to the NHL, the NBA and the NFL.”
