21st edition of ‘Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina’ line-up.

The Univision Television Network announced the star-studded lineup that is scheduled to appear on the 21st edition of “Premio Lo Nuestro a la Música Latina,” television’s longest-running Latin music awards show. Featuring some of the biggest recording artists in the industry, the gala event will be broadcast live from Miami’s BankUnited Center on Thursday, March 26, beginning at 8pm ET/PT (7pm Central) on the Univision Network, the leading Spanish-language broadcaster in the U.S.
 
Building on its tradition of celebrating the very best in Latin music, “Premio Lo Nuestro 2009” will feature some of the most anticipated performances of the year. Together for the first time on television, Luis Fonsi, David Bisbal, Aleks Syntek and former “Sin Bandera” member, Noel Scharjis, perform their new hit single “Aquí Estoy Yo.” Also debuting their hits on television are four-time nominee kings of bachata Aventura with “Por un Segundo;” three-time nominee and salsa star Víctor Manuelle with “Yo Te Quería Querer;” four-time nominee Regional Mexican group La Arrolladora Banda el Limón with “Ya Es Muy Tarde;” and the four-time nominee reggeaton duo Wisin y Yandel with “Me Estás Tentando;” among others.  In addition, pop-music icon Franco De Vita and Regional Mexican group K-Paz de la Sierra take the stage to perform De Vita’s timeless classic “Un Buen Perdedor.”
 
Other artists scheduled to appear as performers or presenters are Puerto Rican reggaetoneros Alexis y Fido; Mexican pop group Camila; Puerto Rican merenguero Elvis Crespo; norteño recording artist El Chapo De Sinaloa; Panamanian urban artist Flex; pop superstar Enrique Iglesias; Colombian singer/songwriter Juanes; breakout salsa duo NG2; Venezuelan actress Scarlet Ortiz; Mexican pop group Reik; Duranguense singer Diana Reyes; novela actress Alessandra Rosaldo; Puerto Rican salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa, merengue queen Olga Tañón; Puerto Rican singer/songwriter Tommy Torres; and the stars of Univision’s recent hit novela “Fuego en la Sangre,” Jorge Salinas, Elizabeth Alvarez and Pablo Montero, among others.
 
Popular Mexican actor/comedian Eugenio Derbez, joins the roster of superstars as host for “Premio Lo Nuestro 2009.” As part of his duties, Derbez is on a quest to find the “perfect” co-host searching high-and-low for the captivating woman who will be up to the task of sharing the stage with him. While the exact criteria for the selection process remains top-secret, “a careful analysis of the candidates will be made,” said Derbez. Viewers will be kept on the edge of their seat until the mystery co-host is revealed on the live show.
