Univision’s Cesar Conde is the Keynote at 10th Annual Hispanic Television Summit.

Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News have announced that Cesar Conde, President of Univision Networks, will be the exclusive, one-on-one keynote interview guest during the 9 a.m. opening session of the Tenth Annual Hispanic Television Summit. The Summit will be held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square, New York City on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.

Louis Hillelson, the Group Publisher for the two publications which present this annual Summit said “We are very pleased that Cesar Conde has accepted our invitation to open this year’s conference.”

Hillelson continued, “This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Hispanic Television Summit, as well as Univision’s fiftieth Fall season. Univision was the first to be in the business of providing TV to Hispanic viewers. This was long before there was any indication that there would be a business of Hispanic TV. Therefore, it is very appropriate and truly an honor for us to benchmark our tenth Summit with an exclusive conversation with the president of the networks that started this industry.”

Conde is expected to discuss programming and the evolution of content delivery and impact on consumers, advertisers and distribution partners. Most noteworthy will be his discussion of the 2012 election coverage, and the new co-venture with ABC News, among other key topics.

“As the focus and attention on Hispanic consumers and media continues to grow, I am looking forward to joining long-time partners from B&C and Multichannel News for the Annual Hispanic TV Summit,” said Conde.

In his role, Conde oversees the Company’s portfolio of 12 networks, including Univision Network, TeleFutura, Univision Cable Networks, which includes Galavisión, De Película, De Película Clásico, Telehit, Clásico TV, Ritmoson Latino and Bandamax, as well as several recently launched networks including Univision Deportes, Univision tlnovelas, and ForoTV networks, and a joint venture with ABC News that will debut a new English-language news network for Hispanics next year.

The Summit will be produced for the tenth time by the Schramm Marketing Group, a NY-based marketing services company which includes Hispanic marketing among its specialties.
