HABLA call for Nominations.

The 4th annual HABLA, the Hispanic Achievement and Business Leadership Awards presented by Verizon Wireless and hosted by the Lanza Group, LLC, is now accepting award nominations and scholarship applications through Sept. 15 at midnight. The 4th annual awards luncheon recognizes the achievements of the Hispanic business community on Thursday, October 13th at the close of Hispanic Heritage month.

“The Atlanta Hispanic business community is thriving and growing everyday,” said Lanza Group President Ralph E. Herrera. “HABLA is a chance to recognize those members of the community who continue driving Georgia forward, and foster the next generation’s development through the scholarship we offer.”

Beginning in 2008, HABLA has highlighted a variety of local dignitaries and community influencers. HABLA honors nominees in four categories: Entrepreneur, Civic/Government, Corporate Executive and Unsung Hero. The HABLA Scholarship will be awarded to one Latino graduating high school senior or current college freshman or sophomore, in the amount of $1500. Scholarship applications and nomination forms are available online at www.HablaAtlanta.com and will be accepted through Sept. 15 at midnight EDT.

HABLA serves as the closing ceremony to Hispanic Heritage Month festivities in Atlanta, highlighting the accomplishments of Latino role models and providing the recognition they merit. HABLA is the leading business-to-business (B2B) Hispanic focused networking event in the market. The 4th annual Hispanic Achievement & Business Leadership Awards will take place on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 103 West in Buckhead.
