Fisher-Price launches Unique ‘Moments to Share’ app with Karla Martinez.

Karla Martinez, Univision’s Despierta America co-host, teamed up with Fisher-Price, Inc. to help launch the innovative, new “Moments to Share” application, built on Facebook Platform. The unique application makes it easy for parents to record their child’s milestones and special moments in a dynamic timeline they easily create with digital photos, videos, dates, captions and stories.

“Just like so many other moms, I use the social networking world to stay connected, and Fisher-Price makes it easier for me to organize and share pictures of my daughters on Facebook,” says Karla Martinez, co-host of Univision’s morning show Despierta America and mother of two daughters. “The result is a cool scrapbook-like album that is fun for me to make and much more interesting for my family and friends to view. I have not come across anything of its kind yet.”

“Fisher-Price views applications as unique types of brand engagement opportunities,” says Lisa Mancuso, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Fisher-Price. “Our new photo sharing application, ‘Moments to Share,’ offers the 22 million moms on Facebook a unique and easy tool to organize and share their family moments while also getting exposure to age-related parenting content and toy ideas.”

“As marketers have struggled to leverage social media to deliver effective, immersive branding messages and experiences, there have been very few breakout successes,” says Chris Byrne, content director TimetoPlayMag.com, aka The Toy Guy(R). “With ‘Moments to Share,’ Fisher-Price has done it not by focusing on product, but by providing an invaluable, relevant experience for families and friends. The ease, efficiency and personal nature of the experience supports growth, discovery and meaningful interaction — the very essence of the Fisher-Price brand.”

Fisher-Price enlisted social media and consumer engagement agency, Big Fuel Communications, Inc., to help conceive, develop and manage the “Moments to Share” application and outreach campaign.
