ESPN Deportes debuts SportsCenter spot with Marc Anthony.

Grammy award–winning singer/songwriter Marc Anthony is the latest super star to be featured on ESPN Deportes’ “SportsCenter Makes You a Sports Expert” ad campaign. The commercial will debut on ESPN Deportes tonight during the 11 p.m. edition of SportsCenter.
After a baby shower, father-to-be and his best friend (Marc Anthony), are left with a pile of gifts to organize. Instead of going about their work, they find themselves discussing “Michael” as a potential baby name given the 18 gold medals, six NBA championship titles, seven Formula One championships and 44 Knockouts associated with the name.

ESPN Deportes’ “SportsCenter Makes You a Sports Expert” concept was originally developed by Hispanic agency LatinWorks. The campaign depicts the ‘fan’ side of some of the biggest Latino athletes and celebrities, showcasing them in everyday situations which ultimately highlight their love and knowledge of sports. Other athletes and celebrities previously featured in the campaign include Argentinean striker Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona, professional soccer goalkeeper Oscar ‘El Conejo’ Pérez, legendary boxer Juan Manuel Márquez, three-time Latin Grammy Award-winning rock and hip hop band Molotov and Colombian actor Andrés Palacio.
