Creative Civilization wins Imagen Award.

The Imagen Foundation recently announced the winners of the 24th Annual Imagen Awards, honoring the positive portrayal of Latinos and Latino culture in entertainment.

Among the winners of the prestigious awards is San Antonio-based advertising agency, Creative Civilization, who won in the “Best On-Air Advertising (PSA)” Category for a 30-second commercial created for University Health System to support its “Living Proof” health awareness campaign.

Other finalists in the “Best On-Air Advertising (PSAs)” category included the U.S. Army, Fox Sports, the National Kidney Foundation and Budweiser.

In an effort to communicate the importance of child safety, University Health System created a child safety art contest for children. Creative Civilization evolved the art contest into television commercials, adopting the artwork of the children.

The winning spot, “How I Stay Safe” is a colorful interpretation of a child’s vision of how to stay safe, as narrated by the son of Creative Civilization’s Creative Director, Cat Lopez.

Hernández, Jr., University Health System President/CEO. “We have received excellent feedback on this engaging campaign, and this award certainly validates our efforts to provide factual information in a way that gets noticed by viewers.”

Other notable Imagen Award winners this year include actress America Ferrera for “Best Actress in Television” and Walt Disney’s Beverly Hills Chihuahua for “Best Feature Film”.
