Oops …. the list is going to be laundered at BK.

Well, it turns out that the Burger King is starting from scratch. What the company has been sending out is not an RFP (Request for Proposal), but an unusual RFI (Request for Information).

In industry lingo this reflects the fast food Miami-based company’s desire for a large number of agencies to submit their information for a future process of elimination.

According to recipients of the RFI, the list is like a Who’s Who of the Hispanic advertising Industry.

Observers point out that from the 20 plus list there will be a weeding out process that will leave an initial list of 10 agencies for a first round, with a subsequent elimination that will result in 4 contenders for the $25 – $40 million plus account.
