Sensis wins four WebAwards.
September 14, 2008
Interactive advertising agency Sensis has created four WebAward-winning sites. The Web sites – developed and designed for West Basin Municipal Water District, L.A. Care Health Plan, United Healthcare Latino and United Behavioral Health were honored by the Web Marketing Association as standards of excellence for outstanding achievement in their respective categories.
“Sensis began as a Web development firm, thus these awards applaud the core of what this agency is. We strive everyday to create Web sites built around user needs and client goals that are visually impactful and create engaging, interactive experiences,” Sensis CEO Jose Villa said. “Each of these four sites had specific criteria we were tasked with meeting and what resulted are effective Web sites that have now been recognized as measures of success in their industries.”
The West Basin Municipal Water District site (www.westbasin.org) received the Standard of Excellence WebAward in the energy category. With a wide target audience including residents, customer agencies, educators and the scientific community, Sensis created a site that divided the content into individual audiences and presented it in entertaining ways. The site also features interactive educational tools including an explanation of the water recycling process and a home water conservation tour.
The L.A. Care Health plan site (www.lacare.org) was awarded the Standard of Excellence WebAward in two categories, health care and insurance. When developing the site Sensis integrated an enterprise content management system and developed an online communications strategy to build on L.A. Care‚s commitment to providing accessible and valuable information to its members, prospective members and the provider community. The new site launched in March in English and Spanish, reflecting the demographics of Los Angeles County.
UnitedHealthcare’s Spanish-language Web site (www.UHCLatino.com) was awarded the Standard of Excellence in the health care and insurance categories. The site provides bilingual information to UnitedHealthcare’s customers as well as general information to the public. UHCLatino.com also features a Spanish-speaking physician search engine, healthy recipes, quizzes and health calculators. Sensis designed the site with a different look and feel to represent the site‚s target market while maintaining complementary styling to its English sister site.
United Behavioral Health’s Hispanic Web site (www.MenteSana-CuerpoSano.com) received the Standard of Excellence WebAward in the health care category. The site is the Hispanic-focused version of the OptumHealth’s LiveandWorkWell.com site. Studies have shown that Hispanics look for community support when dealing with their health, and this new site was designed to utilize Optumhealth’s existing health care information to benefit the Hispanic population. The site also has a password protected section that is the Spanish language companion to OptumHealth Behavioral Solution’s member portal. The site received the 2008 Best in Class award in the health care category at the 2008 Interactive Media Awards (IMA) ceremony earlier this year.
