Huggies and Pull-Ups seek Hispanic input on culturally relevant parenting tips.

The Huggies and Pull-Ups brands are calling on Hispanic moms around the country to share with them their parenting experiences. The initiative, called “De Mamá a Mamá” (Mom to Mom), celebrates cherished Hispanic family traditions in a fun and appealing way, while providing a chance to win valuable prizes.

The community’s contributions will be compiled with the help of renowned Hispanic radio psychologist and child-rearing expert Dr. Isabel Gómez-Bassols (Doctora Isabel). Once collected, they will be used to create the first free collective book of culturally relevant parenting tips or consejos aimed at new and expectant Latina mothers.

“Child-rearing in the Hispanic culture is almost always a collective endeavor involving continuous input, consejos (advice) and support from all female members of the extended family – from mothers and grandmothers to aunts, sisters and sisters-in-law,” said Doctora Isabel, who is also the spokesperson for Kimberly-Clark’s multi-brand Hispanic initiative, “Madre y Mujer,” which includes Huggies and Pull-Ups brand products. “Through this book of popular consejos, which I will help edit, Huggies and Pull-Ups brands hope to act as an extended family to new and expectant Latina moms in America, by providing them with crucial moral and practical support as they deal with unfamiliar – and sometimes overwhelming – daily routines, “el incomparable tren de vida de mama.”

The final product will be published in book form in April, just in time for Mother’s Day, and will be given away as a gift in select retail stores around the country. Additionally, the campaign includes a sweepstakes that will reward participants with a chance to win numerous valuable prizes, including year-long and three-month-long supplies of Huggies and Pull-Ups brand products.
