Fútbol de Primera expands roster to 95 radio stations.

Fútbol de Primera announced that it has added 10 new radio stations to its affiliate family, bringing the total number to 95, including 29 FM stations.  With the addition of these affiliates, four of which are in top 30 markets, Fútbol de Primera now reaches nearly 90% of the Spanish market throughout the U.S.

KLNZ 103.5 FM in Phoenix, AZ, KCVR 1570 AM and KMIX 100.9 FM in Stockton, CA, KWST 1430 AM in El Centro, CA, KLOK 99.5 FM in Salinas, CA, KAIQ 95.5 FM in Lubbock, TX, KPVW 107.1 FM in Aspen, CO, WNOW 105.3 FM in Charlotte, NC, WPYR 1380 AM in Baton Rouge, LA and WWGC 1090 AM in Albertville, AL will all be the official radio stations of Fútbol de Primera’s broadcast content in their markets. The stations will bring all of the excitement of the Mexican National Team’s road to the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa to their listening audience, making them the leading destination for their Hispanic listeners to find the most comprehensive soccer coverage by the best team of personalities in the world of soccer. The Fútbol de Primera Daily Show will also be broadcast on these stations; featuring legendary sports announcer Andrés Cantor, the Daily Show will provide the stations’ audience with breaking news, analysis, perspective and timely interviews from the FDP team.

According to Mr. Cantor, Chairman of Fútbol de Primera, “We’re very proud to be in the unique position of having our important properties such as the Mexican National Team and the Daily Show heard all over the country on almost 100 AM and FM stations.  I have no doubts that our broadcasts of South Africa 2010 will break our previous affiliation record of 109 stations.”
