ActiveVideo Networks announced that it has named Edgar Villalpando, an accomplished media and consumer products marketer, as Senior Vice President of Marketing.
“Delivering a fully interactive Web experience to the mass audience of television has become a real imperative for content and service providers, advertisers and CE manufacturers,” said Jeff Miller, president and CEO of ActiveVideo Networks. “Edgar Villalpando’s wide-ranging background in programming, distribution, advertising and New Media will help increase the brand equity of ActiveVideo as a platform that can help our customers satisfy the demands of a new generation of television viewers.”

Prior to THUMP, Villalpando served as vice president, new media and business development for HBO’s international group, with specific responsibility for expanding the programmer’s linear and new media properties into new territories. Villalpando previously had served as vice president, marketing for HBO, driving and managing international marketing and communications efforts for the HBO and Cinemax brands.
