Reggaeton is ‘BIGGER ON MUN2’.

Bigger on mun2 is back, and bigger than ever! Following last year’s action-packed Bigger series, mun2 kicks off this year’s multi-platform campaign with an exclusive “Reggaeton is Bigger on mun2.” This month-long dedication to Reggaeton follows top reggaetoneros to the hottest destinations, including Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Chicago and back to the mun2 CityWalk studios. Superstars Wisin y Yandel, Alexis y Fido, Boy Wonder and more take over mun2 programming with live performances, holamun2.com originals, hosted shows, interactive features, original promos, music video blocks and exclusive interviews. Reggaeton is Bigger on mun2 starting July 21st.

mun2 celebrates the popular blend of old-school rap, reggae, dance hall and urban sounds by bringing the top acts of the heavy-hitting genre to the networks’ hit shows, including:

THE SHUFFLE:
On Monday July 21st at 5PM, The Shuffle kicks off the month-long “Reggaeton is Bigger on mun2” programming straight from sunny Puerto Rico. Don’t miss out on this exclusive island special with the reyes of Reggaeton. mun2 spends the day with Baby Rasta y Gringo, grubs with Voltio, brings the house down at a private party with Angel y Khriz, and tours the historic city of Old San Juan with Alexis y Fido.

ONE NATION UNDER HIP HOP:
On Wednesday July 23rd at 7PM & 10PM, chart-topping international stars Wisin y Yandel chill with crowds of anxious fans as they take over Universal CityWalk for a special autograph-signing appearance. Mun2 host Frankie Needles hangs out with the dynamic duo as they dish out their new projects and take mun2 on an exclusive behind the scenes look at their new video “Dime Que Te Paso.”

On Saturday July 26th at 10PM, Boy Wonder and host Frankie Needles co-host a full one-hour special of One Nation Under Hip Hop, featuring clips from the exclusive Reggaeton films, Chosen Few 1 and 2. Tune in as mun2 looks back at the beginnings of this captivating musical style, the biggest stars of its genre, and their climb into pop culture.

Airing Wednesday’s and Friday’s starting Friday August 1st through Friday August 15th at 7PM & 10PM, Frankie Needles continues the Bigger campaign as he delves deep into Chicago to explore the unique flavors of Reggaeton at the 2008 Puerto Rican Day Festival. Having no time to waste, Frankie gets the party started at the Reggaeton Night concert, takes a stroll down the famous Paseo Boriqua, celebrates with the Puerto Rican district locals, and enjoys some tasty Puerto Rican grub with Bachata artist Toby Love. To top it all off mun2 style, Reggaeton gets even Bigger with the all-access, backstage concert invasion of preeminent rapper and performer Fat Joe. Tune in for an exclusive interview with the one and only Fat Joe and Reggaeton star N.O.R.E.

VIVO:
On Thursday July 24th at 8PM & 11PM, mun2 presents a full VIVO episode dedicated to Reggaeton elites Alexis y Fido! The infectious duo who has paved the way for Reggaeton acts comes to the network’s signature music variety show to perform their hit singles “5 Letras” and “Sobrenatural” for a live Vivo audience. Mun2 host Yasmin gets the lowdown from “los reyes del perreo” and dishes answers to fans’ questions submitted digitally through holamun2.com. Also in the spirit of Reggaeton month mun2 visits the set of Daddy Yankee’s brand new video “Pose” to get a behind the scenes look at the video as well as the 411 on his upcoming projects.

HAVE YOU CINE:
On Thursday July 31st at 10PM, mun2 offers the world television premiere of “Straight Outta Puerto Rico,” a documentary detailing the rise of Reggaeton, exclusive interviews, historical footage and performances from all the major players. From the early roots of this genre to its galvanizing global peak, this groundbreaking film explores the evolution and revolution behind Reggaeton. Only mun2 brings “Straight Outta Puerto Rico” straight to the TV screen.

On Friday August 15th at 5PM & 8PM, Pepsi Musica host Pico rides first class on Wisin y Yandels’s private jet to Venezuela!
