Tang partners with Major League Soccer for the Ultimate Summer Experience.

Tang announced a partnership with Major League Soccer (MLS) to present ‘Verano MLS Presentado por Tang,’ offering young Latinos and their families an exciting summer experience. The soccer program sets the stage for the talented, 14-year old actor Adrian Alonso who takes on the role as Mensajerito Tang (the Tang Messenger). Alonso will bring the excitement from the soccer field to Hispanic homes and share the news about new Tang flavors.

“Verano MLS Presentado por Tang” provides young people ages eight to 12 with a free opportunity to play soccer twice a week and receive professional training while creating a connection between participants and their favorite MLS stars. The program also serves as the platform for the debut of seven new Tang flavors. Introduced under the tagline “Los Sabores que te Llevan a Casa” (The Flavors That Take You Home), the new Tang flavors are: Horchata, Jamaica, Mango, Strawberry, Lime, Pineapple and Orange.

“Verano MLS Presentado por Tang‚ enables young Latinos to celebrate their heritage through their passion for soccer, while at the same time, experiencing the new Tang flavors”, said Robyn Kestenbaum, brand manager for Tang. “Tang is evolving just like Latinos living in the U.S. We understand that the Latina mother is passionate about experiencing new things with her children, yet wants to share her traditions with them whether it‚s through soccer or familiar flavors.”

“Mensajerito Tang is a fun project because I get to tell moms what we kids like and what we think about the new Tang flavors”, said Alonso. “The new flavors are great and the best thing is that I get to enjoy them and share them with friends on the soccer field, playing a game I love.”
