RL Public Relations teams up with the Braille Institute.

RL Public Relations (RLPR) has been retained by the Braille Institute in California. A private non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate blindness and severe sight loss as a barrier to a fulfilling life, the Braille Institute hired RLPR to lead Hispanic outreach efforts in the Los Angeles metro area.
The rate of vision loss among Hispanics in the U.S. is rapidly increasing, particularly among adults over 40, yet 41% of Hispanics in Los Angeles indicate having very little knowledge about vision health or vision-loss diseases. RLPR aims to help change that by increasing awareness about the high incidence of vision loss among the Hispanic community, and educating Hispanic elders about ways they can prevent and treat eye disease.
“Partnering with an admirable, non-profit organization such as the Braille Institute is an honor for our agency,” said Roxana Lissa, CEO and Founder of RLPR. “We believe in spearheading public relations campaigns for socially-responsible organizations, especially if the good intention is geared towards the Hispanic community.”
The account will be led by Yanka Burgos, Vice President out of the LA office.
