London Broadcasting to acquire Drewry Communications.

London Broadcasting Company announced hat it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 11 broadcast properties in four television markets from Drewry Communications, including the ABC affiliate in Waco-Temple-Bryan, Texas, the CBS affiliate in Amarillo, Texas, the ABC affiliate in Lawton, Oklahoma -Wichita Falls, Texas, the NBC affiliate in Odessa-Midland, Texas, Telemundo affiliates in each of these markets and a Spanish-language radio station in Odessa-Midland.

Terry E. London, President of London Broadcasting, commented: “We are extremely honored to have the opportunity to acquire these properties from the Drewry family. With this acquisition, London Broadcasting will operate in 5 of the 15 mid-market Texas broadcast markets reaching over 1 million television households or 45% of the population of the mid-size Texas markets. The Drewry stations are excellent properties with quality local news operations. We look forward to working with the stations’ management and employees to continue to serve with the highest commitment these dynamic and growing communities.” London added, “We will continue to evaluate other mid-level markets as we build our group of Texas-focused media properties.”
