Carbonell named VP Preschool & Parenting Brand Marketing at Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group.

Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group has named Jose Carbonell to the position of Vice President of Preschool/Parenting Brand Marketing. The announcement was made by Jennifer Goodman Linn, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group, to whom Carbonell will report.
“Jose comes to Nickelodeon with more than 10 years of marketing experience and a proven track record of not only supporting existing brands, but launching and re-branding them,” said Goodman Linn. “His expertise will be an incredible asset in maintaining and growing our brand recognition with preschoolers and parents.”
As Vice President of Brand Marketing, Carbonell will lead the coordination of cross-business marketing programs, on-air events, and consumer and trade advertising initiatives for Nickelodeon and NOGGIN preschool properties, initiatives, and show launches for leading properties including: Dora The Explorer; Go!, Diego Go; The Wonderpets; Ni Hao Kai Lan and The Backyardigans Live! Tale of the Mighty Knights stage tour.
Carbonell also will be responsible for the strategic and creative consistency of preschool properties across all Kids and Family Group divisions. He will also manage key external relationships with media buying and creative agencies working to develop long-term brand positioning for existing and future properties.
Prior to joining Nickelodeon, Carbonell served as Senior Marketing Director for Hartz-Mountain, the largest pet supplies manufacturer in the United States. In this role he was responsible for meeting the financial targets for all grooming, stain & odor, and puppy pad products. He also launched a line of training pads for Club Channel stores including Sam’s Club and Costco; and spearheaded the redesign and upgrade of the Hartz-Mountain website.
