Telemundo scores with Rumbo al Mundial.

Telemundo Communications Group announced results for their three-hour live broadcast of Rumbo Al Mundial: Mexico vs. Argentina soccer match which aired last night. According to Nielsen Media Research data, the Rumbo Al Mundial: Mexico vs. Argentina match was the highest rated Rumbo match in 2008 delivering 1,490,000 Adults 18-49, surpassing games on April 16 (1,232,000) and March 26 (618,000). The Mexico vs. Argentina match also delivered 2,259,000 Persons 2+ and 1,073,000 Men 18-49.

“The Mexico vs. Argentina Rumbo match kicks off a spectacular June schedule for the Mexican National Team. This was the first of four matches in June as Mexico prepares for their World Cup Elimination process and you could only find in on one network- Telemundo,” said Jorge Hidalgo, SEVP of Sports, Telemundo.

Locally, the match was #1 in New York, Houston, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco among Adults 18-49.
