José Reyes Joins MARCA

José Reyes has joined Miami based MARCA as Creative Director with a focus on bridging traditional, non-traditional and digital opportunities for MARCA’s clients. Reyes will report to Armando Hernandez, the agency’s Chief Creative Officer.

Most recently, Reyes was partner and creative director of TURBULENCE, an agency he helped launch three years ago. Under his leadership, the agency won numerous industry awards and was the most awarded agency two years ago at the Miami ADDYs. His clients included The Sunpost, Steve Madden, Benihana, Miami Art Museum and Miami City Ballet.

Prior to TURBULENCE, Reyes was Group Creative Director at Zubi Advertising, where he worked on Ford Motor Company, Lincoln/Mercury, American Airlines, Florida Lottery and Mars brands Starburst, Skittles and Twix. He has also been an instructor at Miami Ad School for nine years.

Tony Nieves, MARCA President, reports, “José is a big idea guy pure and simple. He brings a media agnostic approach which is really refreshing. He gives us an even deeper creative capability in digital, an area where we are growing our business very quickly”

Hernandez adds, “José impressed me when he presented his work and left his tv reel for last. He is all about creative solutions that work in new media and non-traditional spaces. He is a forward thinking creative, with a wide range of general market. Latin American and multicultural experience that fits in well with what we believe.”

Reyes sees his role at MARCA as “pushing further integration between the creative ideas and all the touch points in the consumer’s life.” He adds, “I’m really excited to be part of the MARCA team. The work is great. Just look at the results already in this year’s awards season – finalist at both London International and the One Show as well as multiple golds at the Miami ADDYs.”
