The World Cup and Mexican National Team come to Central and West Coast Florida!

Fútbol de Primera is proud to announce that WIWA 1160AM “Radio Viva” in Orlando, Florida and WAMA 1550AM “La Invasora” in Tampa, Florida will be the official radio stations of all Fútbol de Primera’s broadcast content in their markets. Having signed three year affiliation contracts, both stations will have the exclusive rights to the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and will follow all of the excitement of the Mexican National Team’s road to the tournament, broadcasting qualifying and friendly matches. As the population of Hispanics grows in Florida, WIWA 1160AM and WAMA 1150AM are happy to become the leading radio stations in each market for their Mexican and Hispanic audiences seeking all of the latest soccer news and the most exciting games.

WIWA 1160 AM and WAMA 1150 AM will begin their broadcasts of the Mexican National Team matches with the highly anticipated games against Argentina on June 4 and Peru on June 8 plus the World Cup Qualifying matches against Belize on June 15 and 21. Over the next three years, the stations will also bring their listening audience the excitement of the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and games from the Copa Libertadores, the Copa Sudamericana as well as weekly Mexican League matches, amongst others. In addition, starting in early May, WIWA 1160AM and WAMA 1150AM will broadcast FDP’s Daily Show Monday through Friday that features legendary sports announcer Andrés Cantor providing breaking news, analysis and perspective and timely interviews as well as a weekly recap show on Sundays. They will also air daily vignettes, two-minute updates that highlight timely interviews and the latest breaking news from Mexico and the rest of the world.
