Alejandro Luna Joins Fox Sports en Espanol.

Fox Pan-American Sports LLC announced the addition of Alejandro Luna as its newest anchor on Fox Sports en Espanol. In this role, Luna will be a key studio host, and bolster one of Spanish-language television’s leading on-air teams. He will cover all major club tournaments that Fox Sports en Espanol produces exclusively for the U.S. Hispanic Market, such as Copa Santander Libertadores, Copa Nissan Sudamericana and InterLiga. He will also do play-by-play and analysis on some of the network’s Italian Serie A and Barclays Premier League soccer matches during the season. The announcement was made by Dermot McQuarrie, Senior Vice President Programming and Production, and Assistant General Manager of Fox Sports en Espanol, with whom Luna will work closely.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Alejandro’s caliber and talents join our team,” said McQuarrie. “The experience he brings as an anchor and reporter in the Spanish-speaking TV space, coupled with his passion for sports, will help advance the network’s leadership position within the industry.”

Most recently, Luna served as a Los Angeles-based sports anchor and reporter for the Univision and Telefutura networks, where he was a correspondent for various national, local sports and hard news TV shows, including KMEX-TV’s market-leading nightly newscast in Los Angeles. He also has several years of experience as a television and radio freelance journalist, during which he provided live color commentary and play-by-play for boxing matches, live sports news and field reporting for international soccer matches.
