peermusic launches Multicultural Marketing division.

peermusic announced the launch of its new Multicultural Marketing, Branding and Promotion division. The new division will focus on the multicultural marketplace, offering peermusic’s deep and rich assets in the areas of Soul music, R&B, Gospel and Hispanic/Latin music. The new division expects to partner with brands and agencies to capture the multicultural marketplace in a meaningful way, through the use of culturally relevant music. Branded compilation CD packages, value-added premiums and traffic-building initiatives are among the many potential opportunities.

Connie Baer has been tapped to head up peermusic’s newly crafted division. Previously, Baer held VP Marketing posts at several record companies including the Warner Bros. subsidiary, Giant Records. She was the first female VP of Marketing at Sony Music Nashville, where she was responsible for the marketing of all artists on the Columbia and Epic artist rosters, in addition to account-driven sales promotions, creative services and production of all music videos. Directly before joining peermusic, Baer headed her own marketing and promotion consultancy specializing in music and lifestyle consumer marketing.
