GLR launches 40 Principales in the US.

GLR Networks announced the launch of 40 Principales on March 1st, a two hour Contemporary and Pop music hit countdown weekend show.

The show host is music expert Julio Cesar Ramirez, one of the top personalities from 40 Principales in Mexico.

40 Principales is the largest Latin pop music radio stations network worldwide with presence in Spain, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica and Ecuador. GLR Networks now distributes this two hour weekly show exclusively to its affiliated stations in the U.S., after the proven success of the format in Latin America and Spain.

In making the announcement, Alejandro Nieto, VP of Programming, stated: “40 Principales also includes inside scoops and news of the bands and singers and exclusive interviews with top artists. Listeners in the US will love our show, just as millions of Latinos have in the last few years making 40 Principales the number one Latin pop radio network.”

Flash Grupero: Hosted by Gerardo Rojas, better known as El Gigio de la Calle, Flash Grupero is an innovative and fun feature about Regional Mexican Music that has had a high acceptance among our affiliates. Flash Grupero airs 3 times a day.

Basico 40: An “unplugged” concert series with the top pop artists of our time. Recent concerts have featured top artists such as RBD, Juanes, Julieta Venegas, Café Tacuba, Sin Bandera and Aleks Syntek, among others.
