WSBS-Mega TV Canal 22 announced that the prestigious Dr. Manny Alvarez, better known as “Dr. Manny”, will be the official Spanish language medical correspondent on Mega TV’s “Mega News”. Dr. Manny will host his own health segment that will air every Tuesday and Friday, from 5 to 6 P.M. on Mega TV Channel 22 and from 2 to 3 p.m. PST on DirecTV Más Channel 405.
Dr. Manny Alvarez, exclusive medical correspondent of FOX NEWS in English, now joins the MEGA TV family of talent as our exclusive medical correspondent in Spanish language. “We are thrilled to have Dr. Manny as our Mega News medical specialist,” said Cynthia Hudson-Fernández, Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice-President of SBS. “He will also have his own webpage on http://www.mega.tv> linked to his own now famous http://www.askdrmanny.com site where the public will be able to send their personal questions on certain health issues and see the segment on their computers. The segment and website will provide the up-to-date information that Hispanics need”.
In his most recent book, “The Checklist”, Dr. Manny explains the most complicated medical terminology with the same simplicity and direct style of an experienced television correspondent. “I am extremely pleased to join the family of Mega TV. I am a Latin American and I can identify with the various health issues that our population faces on an everyday level”, said Dr. Manny. “In the same style that I used in my latest book, I am planning to address everything that Hispanic families need to know about preventive medicine in order to live a long and healthy life…”thinking of you always” is the slogan of my Mega News segment and there is nothing more important to me than knowing my Latin American brothers and sisters are taking care of their health”.
Mildred Espinoza-Salgado, Executive Producer of Dr. Manny commented, “Our commitment is real and that is why we will work effectively with Mega TV to offer the most relevant and timely topics specifically related to the Hispanic community”.
