SBS inaugurates ‘LA RAZA 106’ in Miami.

Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. announced the debut of a new Mexican Regional FM radio station, LA RAZA 106.3 serving Miami and South Florida.

LA RAZA 106.3 will cater to the region’s growing Mexican population with a programming menu consisting of music from artists such as Vicente Fernandez, Los Tigres del Norte, Tucanes de Tijuana, Banda el Recodo and Alejandro Fernandez. Specifically designed to appeal to an exploding Mexican and Central American listener base, the station will be a first for South Florida radio.

“LA RAZA 106.3 will join our other ‘La Raza’ music-based outlets in Los Angeles, Chicago and San Francisco in offering the best in Mexican Regional entertainment,” commented Juan Carlos Hidalgo, Western Regional Programming Director for SBS.

“For the first time, Miami radio listeners will now be able to enjoy their favorite music along with the most popular syndicated radio personalities from around the country,” added Mr. Hidalgo.

“SBS is excited to be at the forefront of what promises to be an enormously popular and innovative programming alternative for South Florida Hispanics,” stated Pio Ferro, National Program Director for SBS. “We will once again deliver on our stated goal of providing quality entertainment, on an exclusive basis, for this high-growth sector of our community,” he added.
