VIVA 900 receives Station of the Year Award by the National Salvadorian Committee.

WILC VIVA 900 AM has been awarded the 2007 Station of the Year by the National Salvadorian Committee . The awarded was presented to Mavi Baez, News Director of VIVA 900, on behalf of the radio station at the 6th Annual National Salvadorian Committee Ceremony. VIVA was recognized because of their exceptional dedication and support of the local Salvadorian community.
“It is a great pleasure and honor to receive this award from the community,” said Mavi Baez. Patricia Omaña, General Manager of VIVA 900 also commented, “We are committed to the local community. Our programming and activities reflect that commitment and we are pleased that our efforts were recognized in a such a way.
Representatives of the committee presenting the award are: DC Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs, DC Park and Recreation, the Honorable Jim Graham, Embassy and Consulate of El Salvador, Latinos en Accion 501c3, Federation of Latinas Agencies, Committee of Solidarity for Monsignor Romero, Liga Latino Americana de Football, and Liga Salvadoreña Americana de Football.
