Castells and Time Warner Cable go International.

Castells has wrapped production for Time Warner Cable’s new, edgy Hispanic campaign entitled “Soccer”. The multimedia campaign promoted TWC’s revolutionary new calling plan that offers virtually unlimited international long distance calling for one low monthly price with the purchase of Digital Phone service and Road Runner High Speed Online or Digital Cable. The spot was so well received by TWC Corporate and Divisions that it was also adapted to English for the general market.

The TV spot utilizes state of the art computer generated special effects and graphics utilizing the globe and fútbol as a mnemonic for the international calling plan. A young man talking on the phone traps and controls the globe with his chest absorbing its energy and allowing him to step back and dribble the globe with his feet just like a soccer ball. The idea was to garner interest by showing the lure of soccer while bringing the “world” closer, symbolizing the human triumph over technology and understanding that one can always be close to their loved ones. The spot goes on to introduce TWC’s ground-breaking International OnePrice calling plan.
