Patino new VP & GM at Univision TV in Austin.

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Luis Patino to the position of Vice President and General Manager of Univision Television Group’s (UTG) Austin station, effective immediately. In this position, Patino will oversee all aspects of Univision’s station KAKW-TV Channel 62 and manage the sales activities of the Austin TeleFutura affiliate, KVBO-CA, and its satellites that are owned by LIN Broadcasting. Patino will report to Ray Rodriguez, President and Chief Operating Officer, Univision Communications Inc.

Prior to this promotion, Luis Patino served as National Sales Manager at KMEX/KFTR in Los Angeles, Univision’s flagship station. He previously served as Local Sales Manager at KMEX. He first joined Univision in 1997, working in the San Francisco office of Univision Spot Sales. From 1999-2005, he was National Sales Manager at KBNT, Univision’s affiliate in San Diego.
