Telemundo announced the premiere of its highly anticipated late night property, Más Vale Tarde con Alex Cambert (Better Late with Alex Cambert), to air on Thursday, November 29th (11:30pm/10:30c). The show will make it’s first-ever appearance online on Yahoo!Telemundo http://tv.telemundo.yahoo.com/Másvaletarde/> the day prior (November 28th) to its television premiere, with major sponsor Verizon Wireless.
Más Vale Tarde con Alex Cambert celebrates the best of American and Latino pop culture. The first of its kind late night show features interviews with top stars in either English or Spanish, great musical guests, and cross-cultural comedy, all set to the sounds of its rocking house band. The new late night show is a ground-breaking effort and represents a unique opportunity to offer the Hollywood entertainment community direct access to a global audience. Taped in Los Angeles in front of a live studio audience, the weekly series is broadcast from Telemundo’s brand-new studio at Universal CityWalk.
“Más Vale Tarde is a first on many fronts,” said Don Browne, President of Telemundo. “In addition to being the first late night show of its kind on national Spanish-language television, it is also the first Telemundo Studios production out of our new studios in CityWalk. Más Vale Tarde is another example of how we are leading the way in the Spanish language television industry. We will continue to innovate and evolve to bring great programming to our viewers.”
The Emmy Award-winning Cambert, an entertainment industry veteran, has a strong international following and a resume that includes co-hosting the 64th Annual Golden Globes pre-show, and serving as the entertainment and lifestyle correspondent for ABC’s Good Morning America. “Más Vale Tarde is such an exciting project because it lives in the same world I do – one that is multicultural, bilingual, and a lot of fun,” explains Cambert. “For the first time, a late-night show will speak directly to the 50 million Latinos in the U.S. that have their finger on the pulse of Hollywood and pop culture.”
