Sprint recognized for outstanding marketing & advertising to the Hispanic Market.

Sprint received high accolades this month for its exceptional work in Hispanic advertising and account planning. The company picked up two Silver and a Bronze awards at the prestigious Ad Age annual Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards. Moreover, the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) recognized Sprint with an Honoree Prize for one of the best five Hispanic TV spots for 2006-2007 as part of their Multicultural Excellence Awards. Finally, Sprint won a Gold Level award at the second annual HispanicAd.com Account Planning Excelencia (HAPE) Awards, during the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies’ 23rd semi-annual conference.

Sprint received awards for their “Silencio” and “Todo sobre mi familia” TV commercials, and for their interactive campaigns around MANÁ’s music sponsorship and Second Life, a 3D, online digital world. The company showcased its commitment to innovative marketing efforts by developing a first-ever replica of the Sprint Center arena in Kansas City within this virtual world to target Hispanic consumers with streaming concert performances by internationally renowned Latin music artists. The company was also awarded for the outstanding strategic thinking behind the Hispanic Nextel brand.
“With these awards Sprint has demonstrated a level of excellence in Hispanic marketing,” said Bob Liodice, President and CEO of the ANA. “They have proven that they are committed to developing and executing multifaceted and holistic programs that continue to resonate with its Hispanic consumers.”
