Fundación Azteca America and Una Vez Mas present the Gira Vive Sin Drogas Drug Prevention Tour.
September 29, 2007
Fundación Azteca America, in conjunction with Azteca America KPDF in Phoenix and Arizona State University, is proud to announce the US debut of the Gira Vive Sin Drogas drug prevention tour to be held on Nov. 17 at ASU’s Gammage Auditorium.
The Vive Sin Drogas Tour was launched in Mexico in 1999 to spread the message of living drug-free. To date, Fundación Azteca has held 70 tours in Mexico to a combined audience of 250,000 people. The event targets Latino adolescents and their parents, with the goal of creating awareness about the consequences of drug, alcohol and food abuses. The United Nations granted the Vive Sin Drogas campaign its Vienna Civil Society Award in 1999 for its contribution to the betterment of society.
The four-hour program presents Azteca on-screen talent, with psychologists and medical doctors to talk about the emotional and physical effects of drug use. Also present will be recovered addicts, who share their inspirational stories. To keep the interest of our young audience, the event will also feature La Academia musical entertainers Erasmo and Colette.
Don’t miss the Gira Vive Sin Drogas on Saturday, November 17, 2007, from 9:30 am-1:30 pm at the Arizona State University Grady Gammage Auditorium.
