Telemundo talent celebrate Hispanic Heritage Awards.

Top Telemundo talent were on hand during a star-studded evening to celebrate Hispanic pride, culture and achievement during the Hispanic Heritage Awards held in Washington, D.C. October 11th.
Adriana Barraza, Oscar and Golden Globe Award-nominated actress, along with Telemundo’s own Maria Celeste Arrarás, Jose Díaz-Balart and Mary Gamarra, joined host Judy Reyes from NBC’s “Scrubs” in honoring groups and individuals for their leadership, pride and impact in their respective fields. Other stars who took part in the festivities included, Benjamin Bratt and Rita Moreno.
Maria Celeste Arrarás and Adriana Barraza co-presented the award for education to U.S. Representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R – FL) and Xavier Becerra (D – CA); Jose Diaz-Balart co-presented the award for sports to Major League Baseball Hall of Fame honoree Tony Perez; and Mary Gamarra co-presented the award for math and science to Dr. Ines Cifuentes from the American Geophysical Union.
NBC Universal and Telemundo proudly hosted the awards dinner and are sponsors of the Youth Award for Journalism, which Maria Celeste Arrarás presented to Christopher Oroza from Coppell, Texas.
