Univision.com kicks-off coverage of 2010 South American Cup qualifiers.

Univision Online, Inc. announced that it partnered with SCP Worldwide, the exclusive multi-platform distributor for the 2010 South American World Cup qualifiers.

“Univision.com has a fiercely loyal Hispanic audience devoted to soccer in the U.S. and abroad. Enthusiastic fans will come together once again to engage and interact with their favorite sport on Univision.com,” said Javier Saralegui, President, Univision Online.

Starting in October, matches will be played by the 10 teams from the South American Confederation, including international powerhouses such as Brazil and Argentina. Univision.com (keyword: Eliminatorias) will provide extensive coverage of the first 20 qualifying matches. The dedicated mini-site will link to free videos, including five minute halftime and post game highlights of each match, and will feature blogs, photos and the latest news.

“By partnering with Univision.com, the most visited Spanish-language website in the U.S., we will reach the core audience of Hispanic sports fans all in one place,” said David W. Checketts, Chairman, SCP Worldwide.
