Valencia, Pérez & Echeveste (VPE) announced the appointment of Maricela Cueva to the position of Vice President, Social Marketing.

Led by VPE partner Patricia Pérez, the Social Marketing Division specializes in multicultural communications that includes community outreach, social advertising, media relations, and advocacy. As vice president, Cueva will manage the Social Marketing Division’s services to non-profits, foundations and government agencies. Drawing on her more than 10 years of varied nonprofit and agency experience, Cueva will also continue to oversee VPE’s growing social advertising and new media marketing practice areas.

“The country’s changing demographics have caused a number of agencies and non-profits to review their existing outreach strategies to see it they’re effectively reaching these new Latino audiences,” said Pérez. “Maricela’s social marketing understanding makes her the perfect person to lead our team as we look to meet this growing client need.”

Cueva has directed several award winning health, education, and environmental awareness accounts, including The California Wellness Foundation, the Los Angeles Unified School District Teacher Recruitment, Los Angeles Community College District, EyeCare America, Diversity in the Health Professions and Natural Resources Defense Council among others.
