Lopez new COO of Terra Networks – US Hispanic & Puerto Rico.

Terra Networks announced that Mark Lopez, a
pioneer in the burgeoning Hispanic interactive industry, is returning to Terra as chief operating officer reporting to CEO Fernando Rodriguez,
effective October 15.

Lopez was one of the original members of the Terra Networks U.S. team that succeeded in launching the portal in the year 2000, and subsequently
building and sustaining Terra.com in its dominant position among Spanish-speakers in this country.

Until 2004, Lopez served as Chief Strategy Officer for Terra Networks USA, responsible for development of the U.S. Hispanic media business and strategic partnerships. Additionally, he managed global technology platforms including search and email and structured various alliances to enhance content and community offerings.

He left the Miami-based U.S. Hispanic operations in 2004 for AOL Latino where he was responsible for U.S. Hispanic advertising revenue.

“Terra is extremely happy that Mark is returning to his roots,” said Terra CEO Fernando Rodriguez. “He was responsible for noteworthy advancements at both Terra and his previous place of business. As he rejoins the Terra world, we have great confidence that his talents will have significant positive impact on our marketing partners and visitors.”
