Telemundo launches weekend edition of ‘Al Rojo Vivo’.

“Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste”, Telemundo’s successful news magazine that broadcasts Monday thru Friday, will soon reach homes seven days a week with its new weekend edition “Al Rojo Vivo Fin de Semana con Candela Ferro”, a half hour show that premieres Saturday, October 13th at 6:30pm/5:30 central.

“Al Rojo Vivo Fin de Semana con Candela Ferro,” which will broadcast live on Saturdays and Sundays, will explore a great variety of topics, becoming the only Spanish-language television program in this time slot to offer the day’s news and the best of the entertainment world. In addition, it will also feature current events in regards to immigration, health, sports, and consumer information. The program will be hosted by one of the most renowned faces in US Hispanic television, Candela Ferro, who has in various occasions hosted “Al Rojo Vivo” as a special guest.

With a charisma that sets her apart, Candela is well-known for hosting many Telemundo specials, including “Miss Universe,” “Latin Billboard Music Awards,” “Thanksgiving Day Parade” and most recently, “Live Earth: Unidos Por Amor Al Planeta.” Candela, who was also known as the face of Telemundo’s primetime hit show “Decisiones,” was a co-host of “Ocurrio Así,” which launched her into stardom, positioning her as one of the most recognizable and acclaimed figures in Hispanic TV.

The executive producer of “Al Rojo Vivo Fin de Semana con Candela Ferro” will be Diana Maldonado, a television producer with more than ten years of experience. Maldonado has worked for “Noticiero Telemundo” with Pedro Sevcec and has been instrumental in the network coverage of countless news events, including 9/11, the presidential elections, and the Olympic Games in Athens, among others.
