PRmixCW TV launches in Puerto Rico.

Caribbean Broadcasting Network announced that it has completely restructured its local CW affiliate and will now cater exclusively to the young bilingual viewer in Puerto Rico offering a variety of customized content just for them! The station will launch as the new PRmixCW on August 20, 2007. PRmixCW will be the only local station in Puerto Rico to broadcast in both English and Spanish. In addition, it will be available free over the air across the entire island and on all the cable carriers and DirecTV and Dish.

The station will feature a mix of programming options directed to its target audience of Adults 18-34. The station’s line-up will include programming from the CW network including the reality runway drama “America’s Next Top Model,” the action packed thriller “Supernatural,” and the superstar wrestling extravaganza “WWE Friday Night Smackdown.” This Fall, it will also air four of the new shows creating the most buzz including “Reaper” and “Gossip Girl. In addition, the station will air hip fresh music-inspired programs from the Latino Alternative Television Network. LATV is the nation’s first bilingual music/entertainment network and has been a pioneer in bicultural youth broadcasting targeting the 16- to 34-year-old Latino. LATV shows such as “LATV LIVE,” “Videos Por Favor” and “LATV in Concierto” will feature the coolest videos, the scoop on the latest celebrity news and interviews with popular Latin artists. In addition, PRmixCW will offer a variety of sitcoms in Spanish such as “Reba.”
