Mercury Mambo expands Account Team.
June 30, 2007
Mercury Mambo announced the addition of four new hires to support the agency’s period of rapid expansion over the past year. The new staff brings the agency total to 25 full time talented, creative individuals, up from just four employees back in 2003. The four new team members – Miryam Serrano, Stephanie Beard, Matthew Kuhles and Matthew Reyes – will serve in client services, event management and production roles for Mercury Mambo’s new business.
Miryam Serrano joins Mercury Mambo as an account manager, handling all field marketing initiatives for Cadbury Schweppes Americas Beverages brands Dr Pepper and 7UP in the West territory. Prior to joining Mercury Mambo, Serrano served as a business manager at Nordstrom and Macy’s, where she successfully increased revenue and clientele base, managed large-scale promotional events and earned national recognition for her flawless program execution and aggressive sales initiatives. Serrano earned a bachelor of arts in communication from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Stephanie Beard joins the Mambo team in the dual role of Project Coordinator and Staffing Manager, and will support over 250 Mambo brand ambassadors across the country. Prior to joining Mercury Mambo, Beard developed a keen sense for customer service through several technical sales roles – most recently at Dell as a leading customer account manager. Previously, Beard served as a project manager for Jadeon Inc. in San Francisco, where she implemented systems and trained workers to use a point-of-sale software used in restaurants and bars. Beard earned a bachelor of social science in liberal studies from California State University in Sacramento.
Matthew Kuhles joins Mercury Mambo as a Traffic Coordinator, facilitating day-to-day workflow and coordinating the production process across all of the agency’s accounts. Before joining the Mambo team, Kuhles served as a project manager at Dieste Harmel & Partners, where he moved production through the agency with accuracy and timeliness, analyzed project budgets, and assisted with major accounts including AT&T, Southwest Airlines and Pfizer. Kuhles earned a bachelor of arts in communication studies from Texas State University in San Marcos, where he also acted as a DJ and producer for a weekly radio program.
Matt Reyes joins the Mambo team as an Account Coordinator, supporting account management on the Diageo and Anheuser-Busch accounts. Reyes earned a bachelor of science in public relations from the University of Texas at Austin and brings to the agency a fresh enthusiasm for event marketing and implementation. As president of the Texas Union Events Center during his senior year at UT, Reyes helped manage a nearly $500,000 budget allocated to the center through student fees. Most recently, Reyes honed his ability to relate to clients as an events intern for Austin‚s Public Broadcasting Service, KLRU.
