Hispanic Trends magazine becomes an Enterprise.

Hispanic Trends magazine will officially change its name to Hispanic Enterprise magazine in the upcoming June /July issue. The new name is a reflection of changes in today’s business environment, the increasingly important role played by Hispanics in the economy and Hispanic Enterprise’s deeper coverage of and commitment to this market.

The new title was tested in the magazine’s April/May edition, named the “Enterprise” issue. By pinpointing the magazine’s strong small/midsized business focus, it prompted an overwhelmingly positive response, resulting in the decision final decision to make the change permanent. “The new name better aligns us with the needs of the market and advertisers alike. We are truly the only magazine targeting Hispanic entrepreneurs and serving this growing market,” said Mariano M. Faget, Publisher of Hispanic Enterprise.

Hispanic Enterprise magazine, which will continue publishing six times a year, and maintain its circulation of 125,000 (ABC audited), is the only magazine targeting Hispanic entrepreneurs. The magazine offers particular insight and perspective for the Hispanic entrepreneur on growing and managing businesses and acquiring wealth. It also features success stories, follows the progress of diversity efforts and corporate involvement in the Hispanic market, and examines Latino culture from a business viewpoint.

“We believe the new name and content will more accurately reflect the unique needs of today’s Hispanic entrepreneur,” said Carlos Alfaro, Editor of Hispanic Enterprise magazine. “Back in 2002 when the magazine started, Hispanic entrepreneurs starting their own businesses were a growing trend. Today, with over 2 million of them generating $300 billion in annual revenues, it’s no longer about the ‘if’ but the ‘how.’ “We will continue to serve the needs of our readers by providing beginners with ideas and inspiration, current business owners with tools for managing and growing their companies, lessons from the most experienced professionals in business, and advice and courage for those seeking a second chance,” Alfaro said.

Hispanic Enterprise will continue its growing partnership with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), the leading advocate of Hispanic owned businesses. “We believe Hispanic Enterprise describes the fastest growing economic sector in the Western Hemisphere – Latino owned business,” said Michael L. Barrera, President & CEO of the USHCC. “We are also excited with our continued partnership with a true Hispanic Enterprise –Editorial Televisa,” added Mr. Barrera.

Hispanic Enterprise also will continue to expand its two signature events: Hispana Leadership Summit and Best in Business Awards.

Hispanic Enterprise magazine, owned by Editorial Televisa, the largest Hispanic magazine publisher, has used its previous name of Hispanic Trends since its launch in the fall of 2002. The magazine is produced for Editorial Televisa by Page One Media.
